The Windows version will arrive at a later time

Don't Be Patchman is a new game that will land on Steam for Linux in about a month. Beside the fact that it seems to be a very interesting title, it's also probably the first one to launch on Linux, without a Windows or Mac version.

The developers of Don't Be Patchman from the Naturally Intelligent studio said that they planned to have a Windows version as well, but for the first month only the Linux edition would be available. As it stands right now, this is the first game to do this on Steam.

"The first build available will be Linux / SteamOS only. There will be no initial Windows or OSX support - but that will come within a month. There seems to be a glitch with the store page; it says Minimum Windows System Requirements when it should not," wrote the developers on Steam.

You job as the Patchman is to rescue the Sheeple from the Drones, while hiding, searching the forest, growing fruits and plants, and more.

From the looks of it, Steam doesn't know to accept games only for Linux, so developers must say what the Windows requirements are, even if there is no Windows version just yet.

The game has just passed through the Greenlight, and it will be released on July 31 as an Early Access title.
