We reported the other day on the immediate availability for download of the installation-only ISO images of the recently released Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 "Jessie" operating system.

It took one more day for the Debian Project team to generate all the Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 Live flavors, and as promised, we're informing you today about their availability for download, just in case you want to showcase them to your friends or deploy them on new computers.

As expected, you'll be able to download Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 "Jessie" Live ISO images with the GNOME, KDE, Xfce, LXDE, MATE, and Cinnamon desktop environments, and there's also a standard flavor, which doesn't include a graphical environment and can be used as the base of a new Debian edition with a desktop environment of your choice.

Please try to keep in mind that if you're running Debian GNU/Linux 8.3 "Jessie" or a previous version on your personal computer, there's no need to download the installation-only or Live ISO images if all you want is to update to the 8.4 release. Just make sure that you have all the latest updates installed via the official Debian channels.

Download Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 GNOME, Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 KDE, Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 Xfce, Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 MATE, Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 Cinnamon, and Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 Standard Live editions right now from our website. The ISOs are available only for the 64-bit and 32-bit hardware architectures.
