Crusader Kings II, a historical simulator developed and published by Paradox Interactive on Steam for Linux, is now available with an 80% price cut and a brand-new DLC has been made available.

Crusader Kings II is probably the most advanced game of its kind and most likely the only one of its kind. You might think that it looks and feels like Civilization, but it's a lot more similar to Europa Universalis (same studio). You take the complexity of those titles and you multiply it tenfold, and then maybe you're getting close to what this game is trying to achieve.

"Stand ready, and increase your prestige until the world whispers your name in awe. Do you have what it takes to become a Crusader King? Crusader Kings II explores one of the defining periods in world history in an experience crafted by the masters of Grand Strategy. Medieval Europe is brought to life in this epic game of knights, schemes, and thrones" reads the Steam synopsis.

The developers have already released 43 DLCs and they don't plan on stopping anytime soon. The latest one is called Crusader Kings II: Horse Lords and it's the ninth expansion for the game. Unlike the base game which benefits from an 80% discount, Horse Lords is at full price.

The promotion for Crusader Kings II is scheduled to expire on July 17.
