Crusader Kings II is probably the most advanced game of its kind and most likely the only one of its kind. You might think that it looks and feels like Civilization, but it's a lot more similar to Europa Universalis (same studio). You take the complexity of those titles and you multiply it tenfold, and then maybe you're getting close to what this game is trying to achieve.

The developers have already released 43 DLCs and they don't plan on stopping anytime soon. The latest one is called Crusader Kings II: Horse Lords and it's the ninth expansion for the game. Unlike the base game which benefits from an 80% discount, Horse Lords is at full price.
The promotion for Crusader Kings II is scheduled to expire on July 17.
