On July 27, Canonical, the company behind the world's most popular free operating system, Ubuntu Linux, announced on one of their Twitter accounts that they launched a new campaign targeted towards movie directors.

Entitled "Scopes, enter your content Wonderland," the new Ubuntu Phone campaign calls all filmmakers to create video ads for the company's Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system, especially for Scopes.

"Create a video story that expresses the emotion, wonder and beauty of immediate and immersive discovery of a rich, full world around the subject you’re interested in," says Canonical. "Choose one of these 3 themes: MUSIC, TODAY, NEARBY. Or combine all three of these themes in one video if you like."

There are three prizes totaling €10,000 ($11,000). Canonical rewards the best video with the sum of €5.000,00 ($5.500), the second best video with €3.000,00 ($3.300), and the third video with €2.000,00 ($2.200). If you want to participate in the campaign, you will have to join the project on the Userfarm website.

The deadline is September 22, 2015 at 23:59h, which means that you have 56 days at the moment of writing this article to create an awesome Ubuntu Phone Scopes video presentation and win the big prize. So, what are you waiting for?!
