The game won't be ported to Linux and Mac OS X

The Linux and Mac OS X ports of Batman: Arkham Knight have been canceled, a developer revealed today on Steam.

Batman: Arkham Knight was one of the biggest failures of 2015 for the PC platform. The game was poorly ported from consoles to the PC, and the publisher had to pull it from sale. It stayed in further development for a few months and then was re-released, but many of the players kept complaining about the terrible performance.

It got so bad that Warner Bros. finally offered a full refund for anyone who wanted it, months after the initial announcement. Before the game was released for PC users, a Linux and Mac OS X port was also announced. After being delayed a couple of times, it looks like the Linux port has been canceled.

“We are very sorry to confirm that Batman: Arkham Knight will no longer be coming to Mac and Linux. If you have pre-ordered Batman: Arkham Knight for Mac or Linux, please apply for a refund via Steam,” a developer wrote on the Steam forum.

As you can imagine, the reaction hasn't been good, and it only gets even more bad publicity for Warner Bros. Batman: Arkham Knight was supposed to be one of the most impressive games on Linux, but that's not happening anymore.
