The developers of the popular Audacious free, open-source, and cross-platform music player software released the second maintenance build in the stable Audacious 3.7 series.

Back in November 2015, the massive Audacious 3.7 release arrived with a multitude of new features, for both GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows platforms, including the ability to shuffle playlists by entire albums, improved HiDPI support, recording of Internet streams during playback, and a unified window for managing equalizer presets.

Two months later we saw that first bugfix release of the software, Audacious 3.7.1, which addressed nine issues reported by users since Audacious 3.7, and today we're informing you about the availability of Audacious 3.7.2, the second maintenance build, promising, even more fixes and improvements for the stable branch of the application.

Among the changes, we can mention a patch for a crash that occurred due to missing .wvc file from hybrid wavpacks, support for opening the Jump-to-File dialog with the "audacious -j" command, GCC 6 support for the JACK plugin, and a fix for the "status refresh" when the network connection was shut off and then turned back on.

Audacious 3.7.2 also resolved some network issues with the scrobbler component related to the checking of permissions, and an issue with the cuesheet support, related to the missing "Album Title," "Year," and "Genre" in the playlist. You can download Audacious 3.7.2 for GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from our website.
