Another month begins, and a new ISO image is released for the acclaimed, lightweight and powerful Arch Linux operating system, incorporating all the updates released during the month that has just passed.

Today we're announcing the release of Arch Linux 2015.12.01, the latest installation media of the Arch Linux OS, which includes all the security patches and package updates that were released on the project's main software repositories during the month of November 2015.

Arch Linux 2015.12.01 is still powered by Linux kernel 4.2.5, but it now includes the recently released X.Org Server 1.18.0 packages. The new Arch Linux ISO image is aimed at those who want to install the GNU/Linux OS on their personal computers, as well as existing Arch Linux users who wish to make a fresh install.

Being a rolling-release operating system, existing Arch Linux users who plan to keep their installations up to date don't need to download the Arch Linux 2015.12.01 ISO image, just make sure that you run the "sudo pacman -Syu" command from time to time in a terminal emulator app.

Without further ado, if you would like to attempt to install Arch Linux on your personal computer or you plan on reinstalling the OS, you can download the brand new Arch Linux 2015.12.01 dual-arch ISO image right now via Softpedia or directly from the project's official website.

Please note that the dual-arch ISO image is supported on both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms. Also, the ISO image is hybrid, which means that you can write it on either a USB flash drive or a CD discs, whichever suits you best.
