Zorin OS, a multi-functional operating system based on Ubuntu and designed specifically for Windows users who want to have easy and smooth access to Linux, is now at version 6.2.
The Zorin OS 6.2 Core distribution is built on top of the previous 6.1 version, with updated software and a new Linux kernel out of the box.
Zorin OS 6.2 is based on Ubuntu 12.04.2, which is an LTS (Long Term Support) release, providing users with 5 years of security updates.
The distribution also comes with the Zorin Menu, which is a continuation of the GnoMenu start menu software.
According to the developers, users who already have Zorin OS 6.1 Core installed don't need to download Zorin OS 6.2 Core all over again.
All the aforementioned changes and improvements in 6.2 will be applied by installing the latest updates from the Update Manager, with the exception of Zorin Menu.
