ZevenOS-Neptune, a Linux operating system with software optimized for slower computers and with elements of BeOS, has just reached version 2.5.

The final version of ZevenOS-Neptune 2.5 is finally here, bringing lots of patches and drivers, and featuring two flavors, Full Edition with KDE SC 4.8.3 and Minimal Edition with LXDE and E17.

There are several important distinctions between the two versions. Full Edition has a larger collection of software, including Chromium 18, Icedove 10, GIMP 2.8, Kdenlive 0.9.2, Amarok 2.6, and VLC 2.0.1. It also has RAID support and LVM support for the advanced installer.

The Minimal version ships with Iceweasel 10 ESR, Icedove 10, Gnome-Mplayer 1.0.6, Deadbeef 0.5.1 and PCmanFM 0.9.10. Both editions have an adjusted GTK3 theme for running GTK3 applications.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement.
