The final version of Xubuntu 13.10 will be released on October 17

After the release of Kubuntu 13.10 Beta 1 and Lubuntu 13.10 Beta, the Xubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) Beta 1 operating system was unleashed for testing, bringing new applications and system enhancements.

Being powered by Linux kernel 3.11, Xubuntu 13.10 Beta 1 introduces an utility that lets users to easily change their theme colors, called gtk-theme-config, a new version of the xfce4-settings has been uploaded, bringing a new dialog to set up your displays, and the LightDM greeter's theme has been fixed.

This first Beta release of Xubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) is distributed as Live DVD ISO images, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
