On July 26th, Canonical unleashed for testing the third and last Alpha version of the upcoming Xubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) operating system.
Xubuntu 12.10 Alpha 3 is powered by Linux kernel 3.5 and is built on top of the Xfce 4.10 desktop environment. While the ISO images for Alpha 3 are oversized, the Xubuntu team will try to fit the final release of Xubuntu 12.10 in a standard CD image.
