Xfce 4.11.1, a lightweight desktop environment that aims to be fast and low on system resources, has been released and it's now available for download.

While everyone was waiting for the 4.12 version, the developers have chosen to release a maintenance version for the existing 4.11 branch.

According to the changelog, users can now delete and move icons without any issues, the pixbufs are no longer cached, all pixels from the drag highlight box are now cleared, the template sub-menu loading code has been sped up, and the files are always moved from trash and not copied.

Also, the menu popups via the command line are now working properly, various memory leaks in the settings app have been corrected, and a bunch of translations have been updated.

The complete changelog can be found inside the source archive. Download Xfce 4.11.1 right now from Softpedia.
