Alexandre Julliard has just announced a few hours ago, October 25, that another development release of the powerful Wine software is now available for download and testing.

Wine 1.7.5 introduces support for registration-free COM using activation contexts, improved support for simulated bold fonts, better support for typelib registration on 64-bit architectures, updated Unicode data to Unicode 6.3, and various bug fixes.

As expected, this development release of Wine adds better compatibility with several Windows games, including Bioshock, Wargame: Airland Battle, and Risen. This release also fixes installation issues with Internet Explorer 7. More details can be found in the official release notes.

Download Wine 1.7.5 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
