The distribution features a new Linux kernel and an updated Firefox

OS4, a custom Linux distribution compatible with Ubuntu and Debian Linux that aims for ease of use and user friendliness, has just reached version 13.4.

The goal of OS4 is to offer users a Linux alternative to Windows and Mac OS that is just as simple and ready to use as its counterparts.

Highlights of OS4 OpenDesktop 13.4:

• Linux kernel was updated to version 3.2.0-39; • Mozilla Firefox was updated to version 20.0; • Google Maps has replaced Nokia Maps; • VNC and Remote Desktop apps are now available; • Dayplanner has replaced Orage; • gNote was updated to version 0.8.2; • Oracle Cluster Filesystem support was added; • SHIM bootloader was updated and it's now compatible with Windows 8 certified PCs.
