A flurry of Windows concepts have been appearing online, but most of them don’t even seem original, just like the Windows 9 Concept made by TheTechnoToast.
Most of them never get realized and remain at the concept stage forever, but this Windows 9 render looks a lot like something that could done in GNOME 3 today.
The bar on top, the menu in the middle of the bar, and the small icons on the right side, which can be easily mistaken for indicators, look a lot like the GNOME 3 in use today and not something that might be usable in two years’ time when the new Windows 9 is scheduled to appear.
“This concept has a redesigned taskbar and Start menu, and includes social media and news updates directly from the menu, as well as weather updates and a list of running apps.”
“This new concept also has an animated multicoloured bar at the bottom of the screen that fades in and moves horizontally when Windows is updating,” said the designer on his Deviantart website.
We’ll leave you to be the judge of this concept. Below is a GNOME 3 desktop.
