The iconic music player Winamp is programmed to die on December 20, 2013, but there is at least one alternative out there that it’s at just as good. Moreover, it’s available on all platforms, including Linux.

Winamp will forever be one of the most recognized software ever made and its services will be missed, at least on the Windows platform, but there is a software out there that can easily pick up any fans of the old applications.

I’m talking about Clementine. Its interface looks very different from Winamp, but the two application have one major thing in common. Both music players are developed for people used with old designs.

Clementine is a music player centered on the music in the playlist and not on online services. It’s built around the music listener and not around the music buyer.

You can check our Clementine for Linux review and you can download the application from Softpedia.
