WebKitGTK+, a version of the WebKit open source web engine that uses GTK+ as its user-facing frontend, is now at version 2.1.3.
WebKitGTK+ 2.1.3 is out and includes both the WebKit1 and WebKit2 APIs by default. As for the WebKit1 API, it's now in maintenance mode and the developers will continue to fix any bugs.
Highlights of WebKitGTK+ 2.1.3:
• Support has been added for preload=“metadata” to the GStreamer media backend;
• A potential race condition in GStreamer media backend has been corrected;
• Performance issues that occurred when rendering a page with animations have been corrected;
• Several fixes and improvements have been implemented with GStreamer video accelerated compositing support.
