As expected, Canonical was present at the OpenStack Summit 2015 event that took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, between May 18 and 22.

Mark Shuttleworth, the founder of Canonical and Ubuntu, the world's most popular free operating system, gave an excellent 40-minute speech about the latest OpenStack and Ubuntu innovations from Canonical.

We reported last week that Canonical announced a new service, called Ubuntu Advantage Storage, at the OpenStack Summit. Offering a vast area of storage solutions, Ubuntu Advantage Storage is a software-defined storage support service tailored for cloud providers.

During the said event, which is the most important show for the OpenStack ecosystem, Canonical also announced a partnership with Cloudbase to provide Windows Hyper-V support for OpenStack.

In this short blog post, we want to inform our users that Mark Shuttleworth's keynote has now been made public for those of you who could not attend the OpenStack Summit event this year.

In the video below, Mark Shuttleworth talks about all the remarkable and new technologies created by Canonical for the OpenStack ecosystem and the Ubuntu Linux operating system.

Dubbed "the benchmark for ODS," Canonical's keynote presents live demos of various innovations in OpenStack. Without further ado, please enjoy Mark Shuttleworth's keynote at the OpenStack Summit 2015.
