Waking Mars, a game developed by the Tiger Style studio has just arrived on Steam and it's expected to make its debut on Steam for Linux also, in the near future.
Waking Mars is probably one of the biggest surprises in 2012, at least on the Indie front. The developers have entered the Greenlight program from Valve and the community has given its vote, which means the game is now available for purchase, on Steam.
A Linux version already exists and it was promoted with the latest multiplatform Humble Bundle, Android 4. A Steam for Linux version of Waking Mars is inevitable.
The game provides a new type of gameplay, which combines a 2D platformer with a puzzle. The players will have to find the right combination in each level in order to achieve a stable ecosystem. It's not as difficult as it sounds, but it features a great story and amazing characters.
