VueScan 9.3.14, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, is now available for download.

The VueScan developers are on a roll and are releasing one version after another. This latest one brings just a few fixes, but users should upgrade nonetheless.

According to the changelog, the “Output | Auto file name” option has been added, the file names are now synchronized using “*” when “Output | File type” is “Custom,” a problem with some types of networked scanners has been corrected, a problem with some Brother FAX scanners has been fixed, and more.

VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to work.

A complete backlog of modifications, implemented in all the past versions, can be found in the official announcement. Download VueScan 9.3.14 right now from Softpedia.
