VueScan 9.3.12, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, is now available for download.

The VueScan developers are on a roll and are releasing one version after another. This latest one brings just a few fixes, but users should upgrade nonetheless.

According to the changelog, a problem with the document feeder scans has been fixed, a problem with film types sometimes not appearing in Color tab has been corrected, an issue with some Plustek OpticFilm scanners has been fixed, the automatic detection of text vs. color scans has been improved, and much more.

VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to work.

A complete backlog of modifications, implemented in all the past versions, can be found in the official announcement. Download VueScan 9.3.12 right now from Softpedia.
