The latest version of VectorLinux, 7.0 SOHO, has just been released and it comes with a lot of updates and new features.

VectorLinux 7.0, dubbed SOHO, is built upon the latest KDE SC 4.8.3. The developers of this distribution boast with the best speed for a system that uses KDE.

The usual packages are present in VectorLinux: DVD playback, Audio and Video Codecs, Multimedia and Java plugins are installed and working out of the box, GIMP, Shotwell, Firefox, Opera, Amarok, VLC, LibreOffice, K3B for CD burning, Mplayer, Umplayer, and Geeqie.

VectorLinux 7.0 also features a couple of supplementary desktop environments, Xfce 4.8 and Fluxbox.

The distribution also features Linux kernel 3.2.6 and it has improvements in installation, usability, with support for wired and wireless networking.
