Portal, an innovative single-player game developed and published by Valve, has been launched officially on Linux and exited the Beta stages.

Portal was first released back in 2007, along with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. Valve has pushed a lot of updates for Portal and the developer finally managed to get that save corruption bug fixed.

Valve released another update that officially ends the Beta status of the game and brings it into the fold, along with the other titles.

Highlights of the latest Portal updates:

• Portal has been converted to the new SteamPipe content system, which would optimize the delivery of the game; • Official support has been added for the Linux operating systems.

The Steam entry hasn't been updated yet to reflect the Linux support. More details about this game can be found on the official website.
