Half-Life 2 is one of the best first-person shooters ever made and it has remained in the public conscience as such. Ten years later it's still played by a lot of people and the servers are always full of gamers.

The Half-Life 2 community has celebrated the 10-year anniversary for the great game developed and published by Valve. It's one of the first titles ported by the developers on the Linux platform after the launch of Steam for Linux.

The game was released on November 16, 2004 and it instantly became a hit. It provided an interesting story, superb graphics, almost 15 hours of gameplay, and it was followed by two separate episodes that continued the story. The third and last episode in the series was never released and the story arc hasn’t been completed.

In the ten years since the launch, one of the community’s favorite pastimes was to speculate on the Half-Life 3 launch. Valve has yet to make any statement about this game, so gamers can only play Half-Life 2 and hope that someday the developers will take pity on them and make the announcement they've been waiting for.

In the meantime, if you don't have Half-Life 2, you can get it from Steam for a ridiculously small price.
