The Linux Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of Linux, has announced the keynote speakers for LinuxCon and CloudOpen North America, and there are some pretty big names present.

LinuxCon and CloudOpen North America will take place on September 16-18, 2013 at the Hyatt New Orleans in New Orleans.

“This year’s LinuxCon and CloudOpen speakers really represent the most visionary thinkers in software today. These people are defining the future of software development for Linux, cloud computing, mobile platforms and more,” said Jim Zemlin, executive director at The Linux Foundation.

The most interesting keynote will definitely be Gabe Newell, managing director of Valve. Apparently, he will be talking about the company's reasons for switching to Linux.

Another awaited speaker will be Eben Upton, founder of Raspberry Pi Foundation. He will talk about the latest work on the popular Raspberry Pi technology.

More details about this even can be found in the official announcement.
