The subject of the talk is unknown, but Steam is a good bet

Valve is getting close on releasing its digital distribution service client on the Linux platform, and one sure sign of that is their participation in Ubuntu Developer Summit.

Ubuntu Developer Summit is a four-day event for Ubuntu contributors that will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 29 – November 1, 2012.

There will be a lot of technical talk, such as Service Orchestration and Management with Ubuntu, the benefits of the Open Cloud, and even Mark Shuttleworth will be speaking.

Michael Larabel from phoronix.com spotted an interesting entry scheduled for Ubuntu Developer Summit, in the person of Drew Bliss from Valve.

Valve has already announced that the official supported platform for their Steam client would be Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (and onwards). It will be quite interesting to see what they have to say in this respect.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait until next week to find out. We'll keep you posted.
