Valve Announces Performance Improvements for Team Fortress 2 on Linux

Team Fortress 2, the online multiplayer game developed by Valve, has received another update for all supported platforms, including Linux.

Team Fortress 2 features a large number of multiplayer modes, such as Capture the Flag, Control Point, Payload, Arena, King of the Hill and more. Players can choose one of the nine classes: Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy.

Highlights of the Team Fortress 2 update:

• Support for unloading the displayed URL when the user closes the info panel has been added;
• A client crash caused by the changing of the level while firing the Minigun has been corrected;
• A bug that prevented the custom fonts to load for third-party HUDs on Linux has been fixed;
• The performance and stability of the Linux version have been improved.
