The Ultimate Boot CD can be used in a lot of ways – to test the RAM memory, the CPU, to partition the hard drive, or for simple PC maintenance.
As the changelog shows, the developers of Ultimate Boot CD will not be able to update Parted Magic to the latest version because this package is no longer free.
The maker of Parted Magic is now charging money for the download, although he hasn't changed the license. This makes things at least difficult for the continued development of the Ultimate Boot CD.
