Ubuntu Touch will be ready until October 17 and it seems that the developers have also managed to implement the Ubuntu shop.

A stable version of Ubuntu Touch is almost out the door and the developers are still trying to squeeze new functionalities, such as the ability to buy products, from the Ubuntu store for now, straight from your phone.

This particular new functionality has been demonstrated by Canonical's David Callé on his Google+ account.

This might not seem like much, but if Canonical manages to implement or go attract a native eBay or Amazon app (maybe both), things would look a lot better for the new operating system.

Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) is expected to arrive on October 17, along with the first version of Ubuntu Phone. This launch date for the Ubuntu Phone has been confirmed by the latest Ubuntu 13.10 Beta announcement.
