Zoltán Balogh has recently posted some information regarding the latest changes implemented in the Ubuntu SDK (Software Developer Kit), which is used for developing applications for the Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system.

As such, we can report today that the Ubuntu SDK team has managed to deliver a custom installer with the Qt SDK scripts, a basic installer, an automatized SDK builder, support for building UITK as part of the Qt build.

Also, a Trusty Tahr-based build environment configured for building UITK, a collection of JavaScript and CSS for front-end Web development, has been implemented, and support for developing Ubuntu plugins in the QTC tree against the master branch has been added.

A working installer prototype that includes UITK has also been made available and can be downloaded from the message posted by the developer on the Ubuntu Touch mailing list. Sections and IconButtonStyle documentation have been implemented in UITK as well.

On the Qt part of changes, we can mention that the team works on testing various features from the Qt 5.5 Beta toolkit, qtbase has been added in Debian Git for now, and GCC 5 has been tested against Qt 5.4.1. In the coming days, the Ubuntu SDK team will join the design team to work on the converging UI for Ubuntu Touch.
