Canonical and Ubuntu announced a while ago that they partnered with the 7digital Group Plc media company to offer access to over 30 million songs to users on Ubuntu phones.

Those of you who are Ubuntu Phone owners know that there's a music Scope installed by default, which will give them access to the 7digital music platform on the Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system that powers various Ubuntu phones, such as BQ Aquaris E4.5 or Meizu MX4.

The Music Scope is available worldwide on any Ubuntu phone, and it allows users to purchase and download high-quality songs from 7digital. The downloaded tracks can be synchronized and streamed on the go.

The information was brought to light not long ago by Canonical to promote their Ubuntu-powered smartphones to new users. Existing Ubuntu Phone users already know about this feature on their devices, and most probably have purchased several tracks.

"Calling music lovers! We’re proud to be partnering with 7digital on the Ubuntu phone. With over 30 million high quality tracks in store you can download, sync and stream your sounds on the go....we've got FKA twigs airing out in the office," says Canonical on a Google+ post.
