After announcing the Ubuntu 15.04 Final Beta and Kubuntu 15.04 Beta 2, it is now time to take a look at the second and last Beta release of the upcoming Ubuntu Kylin 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) operating system that has been designed especially for the Chinese Ubuntu Linux community.

Ubuntu Kylin 15.04 Beta 2 is here to fix many localization and internationalization bugs, which have been imported from the upstream Ubuntu 15.04 release, as well as to address various issues that were present in the software packages written by the Ubuntu Kylin team. In addition, “click to minimize” and LIM (locally-integrated menu) have been enabled by default in order to make Windows users easily adapt to the Ubuntu Unity user interface.

“We are glad to announce the Release of Ubuntu Kylin 15.04 (codename Vivid Vervet) Beta 2,” was stated in the release notes. “All the work that Ubuntu Kylin team do is within the Ubuntu community and ecosystem and as such they are flowed back to Ubuntu itself naturally and everyone using Ubuntu can benefit the result of our work.”

Download Ubuntu Kylin 15.04 Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Please keep in mind that, despite the fact that the operating system is now in feature freeze, this is still an unstable release that should not be deployed on production machines where stability is a must.
