The biggest change in Ubuntu GNOME 13.10 Alpha 2 (Saucy Salamander) is the introduction of the GNOME 3.8 packages.
Highlights of Ubuntu GNOME 13.10 Alpha 2:
• The Accounts menu item in Empathy no longer opens the Ubuntu Online Accounts dialog; • GNOME Online Accounts now handles the Google Two-Factor Authentication properly; • The Firefox homepage is now fully functional; • Owncloud file support has been enabled in gvfs; • The Power menu is no longer missing in GNOME Shell.
