The distribution is not stable, but anyone can test it

Ubuntu GNOME was just recognized as an official Ubuntu flavor and the developers have released the first daily builds.

The daily builds are provided mostly for developers, but they can be downloaded by anyone who is curious about what the new Ubuntu flavor looks like.

“Currently we have 32-bit and 64-bit images available for download and testing. We do not plan to release PowerPC or "amd64+mac" images unless a group of volunteers commits to test these images for each of the Ubuntu release milestones we participate in,” stated the developers in a Google Plus entry.

They also said that the next milestone for their operating system would be the final beta of Ubuntu 13.04, on March 28.

The ISO is oversized (which is a bug) and will not fit onto a standard 703MiB CD. However, users may still test it using a DVD, a USB drive, or a virtual machine.
