14 DAY TRIAL // The Community Team at Canonical, led by Jono Bacon, have started the Ubuntu Community Charity Marathon to raise money for a number of noble causes.
After some brainstorming a while back, the team has decided to do something that hasn't been done before, at least not for charity, “a 24-hour work marathon, streamed live online for your morbid pleasure and amusement.” At least this is how Jono Bacon calls it.
Essentially, the Community Team will work for 24 hours straight, with the necessary physiological breaks. The will discuss about various projects, give tutorials, and answer questions from the community.
The money they raise through this endeavor will go to several charities: WaterAid, Homeless International, Greenpeace, Oxfam, Little Kids Rock!, and Autism Research Trust.
