Canonical is making a lot of changes for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Canonical is working constantly to provide the best Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) experience by the time of its official release in April. A couple of interesting features have been made available with the latest updates. The first thing that will be instantly noticed by users is the right-click transparency implemented for Unity Dash. In Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander), right-clicking on the Dash was accompanied by an opaque menu, but that menu is now slightly transparent and takes the color of the background.
The second updated item is the display of a clock in the lock menu. Up until Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr), there was no way to tell the time if the display was locked. A small clock is now shown in the upper right corner. Users would have probably wanted a bigger one, but it's better than nothing.
We'll keep you updated with any cosmetic changes made by Canonical for Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr).
