Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) installation images have been released by Canonical and are now available for download.

Canonical always launches Ubuntu ISOs long before making the official announcement. This means that users can now download the final version of Ubuntu 13.10 from the official mirror.

According to the developers, Ubuntu 13.10 will only be supported for 9 months. Non-LTS releases prior to Ubuntu 13.04 were supported for 18 months.

The official announcement with all the details hasn't shown up yet, but we do know for sure that it's based on Linux kernel 3.11 and GNOME 3.8.

You can also upgrade your Ubuntu 13.04 operating system instead of a clean install, but you can also download Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) from Softpedia.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
