Canonical proudly announced today, April 26th, the highly anticipated Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system.
Ubuntu 12.04 is an LTS (Long Term Support) release, which means it will be supported for five years on both desktop and server.
Dubbed Precise Pangolin, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is powered by Linux kernel 3.2 and it is distributed as Live CD ISO images (Alternative, Desktop and Server editions) for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS comes with many improvements and features, as well as updated applications like Firefox 11, Thunderbird 11, LibreOffice 3.5.2, Transmission 2.51, and many GNOME 3.4.1 packages.
