Transistor is an action RPG developed and published by the Supergiant Games studio, and now players can buy it from GOG.com with a 50% discount.

Some of you might have already heard about Supergiant Games because they are also responsible for the excellent Bastion, which is one of the first games to make an appearance on Linux, from the new generation of high-quality titles. Transistor is built in the same vein as Bastion, but it's rather different in many respects.

"Transistor seamlessly integrates thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience, melding responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric storytelling. During the course of the adventure, you will piece together the Transistor's mysteries as you pursue its former owners," reads the synopsis of GOG.com.

The system requirements for this game are not all that big, and many users will be able to play it. All you need is at least Ubuntu 14.04 / Linux Mint 17 (basically anything that has glibc 2.15+), a Dual Core CPU at 2.6 ghz, 4GB of memory, an OpenGL 3.0+ (2.1 with ARB extensions acceptable) compatible video card, and 3GB of HDD space.

It's not clear when this 50% discount for Transistor will expire, but it's good to know the GOG.com provides a money back guarantee for 30 days.
