Train Fever, a train business simulator developed by Urban Games and published by Gambitious, will be released in September for the Linux platform.

Train Fever is defined as a railroad-focused business simulation game by its developer, but it's much more than that. All the levels in the game are procedurally generated and the engine has been created for this title, allowing uses to have access to a complex city simulation.

"It's the year 1850, and there are great times ahead! Establish a transport company and be its manager. Build infrastructure such as railways and stations, purchase transportation vehicles and manage lines. Fulfill the people's needs and watch cities evolve dynamically," reads the Steam synopsis.

The developers have said that the game world is not limited to 90 (or 45) degree angles, more than 150 years of transportation history will be covered, and Train Fever will use a complex passenger simulation system.

The system requirements are also quite low and it will be possible to play it on middle-end computers: Ubuntu 12.10 or higher, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB or RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8800 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 3850 512 MB graphic, and drivers with OpenGL 3.2 support.

The game is expected to arrive on Steam of Linux on September 11.
