14 DAY TRIAL // Torchlight II, an action hack-and-slash title developed and published by Runic Games on Steam, might get a Linux version soon.
The developers from Runic Games are not at their first try to port one of their games. The first title in the series was promoted on Linux with the help of a Humble Bundle collection, but the game manifested some very problematic technical issues that persisted for a long time, like the missing face of the main characters. Hopefully, the second iteration will be much better.
“Torchlight II takes you back into the quirky, fast-paced world of bloodthirsty monsters, bountiful treasures, and sinister secrets - and, once again, the fate of the world is in your hands! Torchlight II captures all the flavor and excitement of the original game - while expanding the world and adding the features players wanted most, including online and LAN co-op multiplayer,” reads the official synopsis from Steam.
The information about the Linux version is taken from the Steam database, and by no means is it completely certain. The Steam Database is a record of data that describes every Steam game and subscription provided by Valve for the Steam service.
Usually, the new entries are first visible in the Steam Database before their official launch, but there is no indication about a release date.
