Torchlight II, a hack-and-slash RPG developed by Runic Games, has just received a patch and is now available for Linux platforms as well.

Runic Games is one of the first studios that made one of their games, the first Torchlight, available for Linux users, before Steam for Linux got off the ground. They had some technical difficulties, but they fixed them. It's now the time for the second game to also land on the Linux platform.

"Torchlight II takes you back into the quirky, fast-paced world of bloodthirsty monsters, bountiful treasures, and sinister secrets - and, once again, the fate of the world is in your hands! Torchlight II captures all the flavor and excitement of the original game - while expanding the world and adding the features players wanted most, including online and LAN co-op multiplayer," reads the Steam synopsis.

To make things even better, the developers make it possible to redeem non-Steam keys on the Steam platform, if the user purchased Torchlight II before February 2, 2015. Also, Cross-platform multiplayer is supported, the same goes for save games, and it's even possible to install mods.

Torchlight II is also available right now with an 80% discount that is scheduled to end on March 9.
