Tizen 2.1 source code and SDK have been made available for download and testing by the Tizen Association, bringing a huge amount of updates and new features.

Tizen is an open source mobile operating system based on distribution, which includes several modules from the former MeeGo, Moblin, and Maemo. The development is a joint venture, called the Tizen Association, which is made up of several companies, such as Intel, Huawei, NEC, Samsung, and a few others.

Highlights of Tizen 2.1 (Nectarine):

• The Web framework that provides state-of-the-art HTML5/W3C API support has been improved; • Web DynamicBox runtime framework, that supports the embedding of Web DynamicBox, has been added; • The Web IDE providing WYSIWYG design environment has been improved; • A Native IDE, providing a project wizard, has been added.
