Tiny Core Linux 6.3 comes in several editions

The Tiny Core developers are happy to announce the availability of the first Release Candidate version of the upcoming Tiny Core Linux 6.3 computer operating system. Tiny Core Linux is being known as one of the tiniest distributions in the world.

According to the release notes, Tiny Core Linux 6.3 RC1 adds a patch to the tce-load component to separate the handling and listing loops, addresses an issue in the tce-audit component because of missing tce_lst extensions, simplifies tce-load, as well as the app_exists script from tce-load.

Additionally, the first Release Candidate version of Tiny Core Linux 6.3 adds a -t TCEDIR patch for the tce-load component, and moves the extension loop from tce-setup to tce-load, in order to gain 4% speed in the Tiny Core Plus edition.

"Team Tiny Core is pleased to announce that Tiny Core 6.3 rc1 is available for public testing," says Juanito in the quite short release announcement. "This is a release candidate. If you decide to help test, then please test carefully. We don't want anyone to lose data. We appreciate testing and feedback."
