Robert Shingledecker has announced the immediate availability for download and testing of the Tiny Core 5.2 Linux operating system.

As the name implies, this distribution is known for its small size and versatility. The developer integrated a large number of packages and an attractive desktop.

Highlights Tiny Core Linux 5.2:

• fstab entries are no longer replaced for a device that does not have "Added by TC" on the line; • The default inode count has been increased; • Extensions are no longer listed under subdirs in onboot maintenance; • A wildcard has been added to support both x86 and x86_64; • busybox has been updated to 1.21.1 plus wget patches and split suid/nosuid for better security; • The getpasswd stars have been removed in order to allow backspace to work.

A complete list of updates and changes can be found in the official announcement. Download Tiny Core Linux 5.2 right now from Softpedia.
