Robert Shingledecker announced the immediate availability for download of the Tiny Core 5.0 Alpha 4 Linux operating system.

Highlights of Tiny Core Linux 5.0 Alpha 4:

• Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.8.10; • An option to use vmlinuz + rootfs.gz + modules.gz or vmlinuz64 + rootfs.gz + modules64.gz have been used; • glibc has been updated to version 2.17; • gcc has been updated to version 4.7.2; • scm extensions have been dropped from this release; • 50-udev-default.rules has been adjusted to allow rw access to /dev/rfkill.
