Mozilla officially released Mozilla Thunderbird 17.0.5 for Linux, an email and RSS client, featuring just a few security fixes.
This is just a minor update for Mozilla Thunderbird, as it can be easily seen from the small number of changes and fixes.
Highlights of Mozilla Thunderbird 17.0.5:
• An out-of-bounds array read has been corrected in the CERT_DecodeCertPackage; • Cross-site scripting (XSS) is no longer using timed history navigations; • Bypassing the SOW protections no longer allows the cloning of protected nodes; • A WebGL crash, that occurred with the Mesa graphics driver on Linux, has been fixed; • A privilege escalation bug, through Mozilla Updater, has been fixed; • Adjusting font size when composing emails is now easier.
