The second version of the The Great Linux World Map has been released and comes with some very important changes. For example, Ubuntu is no longer a great communist empire.

This beautiful rendition of an imaginary Linux World has been made by a Linux developer and designer named Igor Ljubuncic.

“OK, version 2.0. It's completely different from the first one. It's de facto a whole new world. In fact, you can treat the two versions as Linux distributions in parallel universes if that helps. Yes, that ought to do it,” said Igor Ljubuncic on his blog.

The second version of The Great Linux World Map is no longer poking fun at Ubuntu, and it seems to be a lot more detailed. Besides the obvious countries and oceans, the designer has also added some personal touches and most of them are very amusing.

I won't spoil the pleasure of finding them all, but be on the lookout for Manjaro Isle, Zorinia, and UEFI storm.

The designer of these maps has made them available to everyone, but you can also purchase them, if you want to support his work.
