The first development release towards GNOME Notes 3.12, a nice and simple application designed to create, view, and edit notes on the GNOME 3.12 desktop environment, has been announced on October 27, 2013.

In GNOME Notes 3.11.1, the Bijiben developers added three columns in the List view, removed the search completion, made Zeitgeist an optional dependency, revamped the Tomboy and Gnote import functionality, and redesigned the opening notes at startup feature.

Among the bugs fixed, we can mention that the Editor component can now handle tab key, the "header bar double stroke" issue has been fixed, a border has been added to the Import dialog, and compilation warnings were fixed.

Moreover, the Asamese, Basque, Catalan, Estonian, and French translations have been updated in this first development release of the upcoming GNOME Notes 3.12 software. More details can be found in the official release announcement.
