Valve has released quite a few fixes and changes for Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2, the online multiplayer game developed by Valve, has received a generous update that is available on all the supported platforms, including Linux.

The Team Fortress 2 updates are pouring in and the developer has implemented another set of changes and improvements.

Highlights of the Team Fortress 2 update:

• A quickplay option to only connect to official Valve servers has been added; • Game servers are no prevented from redirecting players to alternate servers when players connect through quickplay; • An exploit where players could run the MVM_Revive_Response, MVM_Respec, and use_action_slot_item commands on behalf of other players has been fixed; • A server crash related to screen fades has been corrected; • A client crash related to Killstreak effects; • Asian fonts are now rendering correctly for Linux clients.

Team Fortress 2 features a large number of multiplayer modes, such as Capture the Flag, Control Point, Payload, Arena, King of the Hill, and more. Players can choose one of the nine classes: Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy.
